Cash Management Specialist 

For over 30 years, Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services has been providing compassionate and dependable medical and non-medical home health care services throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Through our quality care, we help our clients with the medical, physical, and emotional strain that comes when home health care is needed the most. 

Preferred is hiring a cash management specialist to join our Eatontown, NJ office. Reporting to the controller, the cash management specialist will be responsible for handling all cash applications received in the bank daily.  Primary responsibilities include assisting with entering all incoming cash daily, processing credit card payments, scanning incoming checks, obtaining EOBs, and analyzing bank accounts on a daily and monthly basis.  The cash management specialist will also assist with performing cash application review analysis and preparing monthly accounting reconciliations and various schedules.  Other accounting functions and reporting may be assigned as needed. 

Responsibilities of Position 

  1. Handle cash posting for the various branches 
  2. Payment Application daily into our billing system of all incoming cash via manual check, EFT, Lockbox, ACH, and credit card 
  3. Process credit card payments 
  4. Review payments for accuracy and proper application of payment 
  5. Download and manage bank files of 4 accounts daily 
  6. Manually scan any incoming check payments  
  7. Obtain, scan, and save all EOBs and remit advice to a shared directory 
  8. Perform account analysis, journal entries, and reconciliations as needed 
  9. Create and analyze cash posting reports  
  10. Assist with internal and external audits as needed 
  11. Perform monthly cash reconciliations 

Job Conditions 

  1. Position may require the candidate to work from home at times 
  2. Requires minimal lifting of office records and printouts 

Qualifications of Position 

  1. Bachelor’s degree required 
  2. A minimum of three years of experience in cash application 
  3. Ability to meet all daily and month-end deadlines 
  4. Experience with Microsoft Excel, particularly V-Lookup/Pivots/Formulas 
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
