JOB DESCRIPTION

Part-Time Home Health Aide Instructor 

For over 30 years, Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services has been providing compassionate and dependable medical and non-medical home health care services throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Through our quality care, we help our clients with the medical, physical, and emotional strain that comes when home health care is needed the most. Preferred is currently hiring a part-time Home Health Aide Instructor for our New Jersey offices. 

Duties of Position 

  1. Plans and provides training in a classroom setting, informing students of standard best practices and laws surrounding a career as a home health aide 
  2. Responsible for supervising students in the application of theoretical knowledge in a hands-on clinical setting 

Responsibilities of Position 

  1. Provides related instruction and supervises students 
  2. Prepares, administers, and grades applicable tests 
  3. Documents student progress and completes required forms or reports in their entirety 
  4. Prepares and submits a course of study, including program objectives, student performance objectives, and lesson plans 
  5. Conducts training in accordance with all regulations and company policies 
  6. Performs other duties as assigned in a professional matter 
  7. Reports directly to CHHA program director 

Job Conditions 

  1. Position may be stressful in terms of meeting deadlines 
  2. Requires minimal lifting of office records and printouts 
  3. The ability to utilize a PC, calculator, multi-line telephone, and other office equipment 
  4. The ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing 
  5. Travel is required 

Qualifications 

  1. Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in New Jersey with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree  
  2. A minimum of one year of home health care experience is required 
  3. Customer-service oriented 
  4. Must have excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
