Credentialing Specialist 

For over 30 years, Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services has been providing compassionate and dependable medical and non-medical home health care services throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Through our quality care, we help our clients with the medical, physical, and emotional strain that comes when home health care is needed the most. 

Preferred is currently hiring a credentialing specialist for our Galloway, New Jersey office. The credentialing specialist will support the human resources manager to ensure all field staff compliance and hiring processes are completed with the highest level of efficiency, accuracy, and customer service. 

Responsibilities of Position 

  1. Play a key role in managing the high-volume administrative processes surrounding field employee hiring and retention 
  2. Maintain personnel files, including copies of current credentials prior to the expiration date, and upload/scan all documents into proprietary system 
  3. Ensure all field staff continue to meet the appropriate license, certification, and in-service requirements 
  4. Ensure supervisory visits, competency assessments, and 90day and annual reviews are conducted in a timely manner 
  5. Ensure that all employees meet their required mandatory training and keep records of in-services 
  6. Coordinate all appropriate re-certifications and necessary ongoing requirements 
  7. Maintain strict professional ethics, confidentiality, and privacy 
  8. Perform other duties as assigned in a professional matter

  1. Must have a college degree 
  2. A minimum of two years of human resources or equivalent experience is preferred 
  3. Experience in health care preferred 
  4. Customerservice oriented 
  5. Ambition to grow and advance beyond current position 
  6. Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, manage multiple priorities, and pay meticulous attention to detail 
  7. Working knowledge of, or proficient in, Microsoft office applications, and quick-to-learn proprietary software package
