JOB DESCRIPTION

Recruiter 

For over 30 years, Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services has been providing compassionate and dependable medical and non-medical home health care services throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Through our quality care, we help our clients with the medical, physical, and emotional strain that comes when home health care is needed the most. 

Preferred is hiring recruiter for live-in aides. The recruiter is responsible for postings ads, filtering applications, conducting phone and in-person interviews, supporting applicants through the onboarding process, and compliance of employee records with all federal and state regulations and Community Health Accreditation Partner (CHAP) standards. 

Responsibilities of Position 

  1. Responsible for the recruitment and selection of employees based on applicant credentials and qualifications, including training and licensure 
  2. Uses a consistent and non-discriminating process to select employees as follows: 
  3. Conducts personal interviews with all applicants at the time of recruitment and selection 
  4. Obtains two written or verbal employment references and job history 
  5. Verifies education, experience, training, and license or certification, as appropriate to job responsibilities 
  6. Selects and employs qualified individuals  
  7. Coordinates an orientation program for all new employees, including an introduction to the organization, staff, and employee rules and responsibilities 
  8. Coordinates travel arrangements to the client’s residence 
  9. Ensures that all employees meet their required mandatory training and keeps records of 
  10. in-services 
  11. Ensures that all employees are meeting the performance expectations stated in their job descriptions by communicating with supervisors 
  12. Ensures that all employees are in compliance with the mandatory requirements for employment 
  13. Maintains strict professional ethics, confidentiality, and privacy 
  14. Maintains a current client roster with necessary information 

Job Conditions 

  1. Position may be stressful in terms of meeting deadlines 
  2. High call volume 
  3. Some travel is required 
  4. May require minimal lifting of office records and printouts 

Qualifications 

  1. A college degree is preferred 
  2. Three years of recruiting, human resources, or equivalent experience is preferred 
  3. Bilingual in English and Spanish 
  4. Experience in health care is preferred 
  5. Customer serviceoriented 
  6. The ability to utilize a PC, calculator, multi-line telephone, and other office equipment 
  7. The ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing
