P/T HR Recruiter 

For over 30 years, Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services has been providing compassionate and dependable medical and non-medical home health care services throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Through our quality care, we help our clients with the medical, physical, and emotional strain that comes when home health care is needed the most. 

Preferred is hiring a part-time HR recruiter for our Northeast Philadelphia, PA office. The HR recruiter is responsible for actively recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding nurses and home health aides 

Duties of Position 

Responsible for recruiting nurses and home health aides for specific needs within the office.  

Responsibilities of Position 

  1. Responsible for the recruitment and selection of employees based on applicant credentials and qualifications, including training and licensureand proactively following up with applicants when needed 
  2. Posts ads and conducts job fairs to help recruitment 
  3. Uses a consistent and non-discriminating process to select employees as follows: 
  4. Conducts personal interviews with all applicants at the time of recruitment and selection 
  5. Obtains two written or verbal employment references and job history 
  6. Verifies education, experience, training, and license or certification, as appropriate to job responsibilities 
  7. Tracks applicants as they are called and interviewed, and as they enter the hiring process 
  8. Selects and employs qualified individuals  
  9. Coordinates an orientation program for all new employees, including an introduction to the organization, staff, and employee rules and responsibilities 
  10. Ensures that all employees meet their required mandatory training and keeps records of in-services 
  11. Confirms that all employees are meeting the performance expectations stated in their job descriptions by communicating with supervisors 
  12. Verifies that all employees are in compliance with the mandatory requirements for employment 
  13. Retains strict professional ethics, confidentiality, and privacy 
  14. Maintains a current client roster with necessary information 

Job Conditions 

  1. Position will be remote at the outset and then transition to an office environment; during the remote part, you may be asked to come into the office for training or meetings 
  2. May be stressful in terms of meeting deadlines 
  3. High call volume 
  4. Position will be parttime Monday to Wednesday, with flexible 8hour shifts; the employee may be moved into full-time HR position based on performance and office development  


  1. A college degree is preferred 
  2. Two years of recruiting, human resources, or equivalent experience is preferred 
  3. Experience in home health care preferred 
  4. Customer serviceoriented 
  5. The ability to utilize a PC, calculator, multi-line telephone, and other office equipment 
  6. The ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing
